A letter from the partners
Why this exists, in our own words.
Most holding company sites explain a structure. This one has to explain a decision, because the structure only makes sense once you know what it is for.
This letter is dated because a statement of intent with no date on it cannot be held against anybody.

We met ten hours apart and started working together before there was an entity to work inside. The partnership came afterwards, which is the right order and not the usual one.
The decision the structure exists to protect
There are two kinds of work in this group and they do not mix well. One kind earns money: marketing, phone numbers, software. The other kind helps people who are having the worst week of their lives, and it must never be asked to justify itself commercially. Holding both under one partnership lets the first pay for the second without the second having to ask anybody's permission.
That is why the ventures and the initiatives are never counted together anywhere on this site, and why the nonprofit arm has no paid staff and no paid executives. The moment a hotline listing has to earn its place on a revenue line, it stops being a hotline listing and becomes a lead.
What we are not going to do
We are not going to put client logos on this site. We do not have written permission from most of them, and a logo wall without permission is a small lie that sets the tone for everything else. Rainer Agency says the same thing on its own front page.
We are not going to claim the group is larger than it is. It is two partners and a small team in four countries. When you write to us, one of us answers. That is slower than a support desk and it is the thing we would least like to lose.
What we owe you
Several of the sites in this group are older than the work behind them, and one of them still carries a footer dated 2016. We have put that in writing on each venture's own page rather than waiting until it was tidy. If you are deciding whether to work with us, the page headed what is not finished is the one to read first.
We would rather be caught being honest about an eight year old footer than caught hiding it.
We would rather be slow than hand you to a support desk.
Both partners have a full profile on this site, with the roles they actually hold rather than titles chosen for a website. They are at /partners.
